This mule fair and sales was a fabulous success. It was wall to wall mules of all sizes, ages and prices. Each year the village of 'Arenas' hold this fair sponsored by it's town hall. It is held in a huge fenced and partially covered arena (Also the village sand Foot Ball pitch and sports area in general. As before there was music, dancing Flamenco groups, and 6 foot wide Paella pans sizzling on open fires with beer and sausages to! The sun shone, kids played and everyone seemed to have a good time. Pat and I stayed just long enough to say hi to our last sorrel mule 'Duke', who was now selling for 4k! Prices here as always were optimistic, but I found one man, a metal fabricator (Carpentaria Metalica) who was making and selling nice strong carts with disc brakes suitable for any size mule or horse for 1.000 euros. The price was fixed and delivery was 6 weeks on a 20% deposit! I paid 2k for mine with old style shoe brakes !! ho hum! I'll try and post some photos. If anyone want to join in the mule and horse fairs next year I can pass on the details for some nice, but reasonable hotels and B&B. There is good discount for Internet bookings! My eldest runs the reception at one place! I'll try and post one or two pics, but I have more than one hundred from that day!

Albie I have edited your post just to shrink the photos down to make them easier to view (without having to scroll backwards and forwards) - would love to see more photos of the fair (those ones are resized to 640 x 480)

Don't really know, but its probably to do with the fact that I saved them onto my desktop, resized them and then reloaded them. There is probably a better way but I'm no computer expert!!!
