Taken from the British Mule Society site...
The B.M.S.will be at the Your Horse Live 2008 show at Stoneleigh on the 7 8 9 November there will be three mules taking part Marmite 14 .2 hh a nice riding mule out of a native pony, Murial a 16 hh a solid built riding mule bred from a Belgium draft ,and Major a 17. 1 hh giant Percheron cross mule who is still growing! come and meet one of these lovely mules. Details of the show can be found on http://www.yourhorselive.co.uk
I am going on the Friday. My foals dad will be the demo horse at 3.25pm and I want to see him again before I decide to put the mare in foal to him again. No big donks local to me and AI is too expensive so it will not be a mule this time either
Typical!!!!! I'd decided not to go as the Parelli Demo was too early for me to watch uness I had the day off.
As The BMS has always said it would be too expensive because of the charges they now put on the breed stands I haven't been since they put the charges up.
I might be able to swop the days round if I work straight through a fortnight,we'll see.

I'm going all 3 days, if anyone sees me there please take my credit card into safe custody. I really do need a new body protector. Anything else is frivolous shopping.

I wish Moon could go to YHL one day
3 Days?????
Anyone offering to chaperone the credit card, I think a rota system needs to be set up, its a very abused little card, maybe I could "foster" it?
(P.S. You don't have nearly enough pink stuff or ariats...... )
Marmite stole the show in the breed display He was a bit fidgety having to stand and listen to the breed "blurb" as he was third to last.He did his trot around as they read out his piece and right on cue when the announcer was explaining about mud, mules and rolling and how she'd seen Sarah working hard on him all morning getting him tidy as he'd arrived covered in mud and how smart he looked now....Marmite immediately got to his knees and rolled! And just in case he hadn't been noticed he then proceeded to get down again and roll on the otherside!!!!
Unfortunately the sand had been treated with wax so it all stuck to his coat and he looked like he was wearing a sand blanket

Aw, Jenny, sorry to have missed you. I knew you were there - the lady on the Treehouse stand (whilst we were discussing what back length body protector to get to cope with high cantle on a wester saddle) said she had been talking to a lady who rode in a western saddle on a MULE, fancy that, so I started to giggle and said well that cuts it down a bit....
Was nice to meet the 3 different mules though, I adored the big draft ones.
elkay I'm faited never to meet that mule of yours! I was going to get the body protector in green or red (BMS colours) but decided that black would be better as it goes with everything.Could've got it cheaper through work I think but at least I got an expert fitting this time.Very helpful lady helped me but isn't it funny that the shorter it is the higher the price, shouldn't have such a short Ass
