Everythings frozen at work so its all buckets and kettles to try and defreeze the self waterers! feel so sorry for the poor racehorses shaved to within an inch of their lives...imagine having to strip naked and go out for a run in this weather!
My goats don't seem to be minding it but then they have proper goat coats on and Malaga and Blue look all fluffed up

We have been frozen now for about a fortnight and living on the wettest farm in Scotland frozen ground is an absolute godsend. The horses have had a wonderful time, blue skies and no wind for weeks now. We have 12 horses turned out full time - three are not rugged - muley, ellie - a very nicely bred showjumping mare and my new appaloosa filly and they are thriving.

BUT now its snowing - heavily!!!

In the middle we are frozen too. The mare and foal are naked but the donkey gets turned out in full body armour. Not for protection from the weather but from the foal who has removed mouthfuls of donkey of his rump!
