... I'll tell you tomorrow how it went! Nothing like throwing ourselves in the deep end - Anglesey Show - major county event....
She is looking fiendishly smart, all trimmed up. Mane plaited unless Dawn loses her temper with it in the morning in which case it'll get hogged.... two whole years of growing and it's still wispy and pathetic and yet still manages to stand upright.
And- bliss - she doesn't have any white on her. So much less fuss than Jack with his three white socks and shitty habits!
We had a fab day! Only pics I have so far were the professional one I bought (but I might scan it in....) but friends had their cameras.
Moon came 2nd and Jack 3rd in the in-hand foreign breeds 4 & over; fairly beaten by a friend's Morgan stallion who is glorious. Jack then came 2nd in the ridden class which I was delighted with.
There was quite a lot of visitors to see Moon in the lorry park, and the judge loved her - he told my friend with the Morgan something along the lines of "I have no idea what a mule is supposed to look like but that surely is a cracker..." - I was so proud when I heard!
Moon behaved really well apart from pulling - Danny. who was showing her for me, didn't dare trot her up at full pelt because he thought she was about to bugger off at speed (she really wanted to canter). She had one unsettled moment in the lorry park when he New Best Friend, the piebald mare she'd travelled with, went off to do a class and she did her bargy tune-out thing, but soon settled, with two kids brushing her and scratching her bum.
