Thought I had posted this question somewhere but can't find it anymore. So here it is:

My fences are about 3 feet high, wooden posts with normal sheep wire. Is this high enough for mules as I have read somewhere that they do like to jump/wander off by themselves?
The previous owner kept horses and that seemed to be fine for them.

Any advice?
Tina

My mule would be over that if she wanted too... though to be honest, make it taller and she'll barge through or take on the gate instead!!

Oh dear, this pictures says it all.
Do they stop with an electrical fence or don't I bother and just hope for the best?

I have goats so my fencing has to be good anyway as I'm surrounded by vegitable growers.however I have electric fencing on the inside to prevent mules leaning over and the bit in the middle where the goats escape is just electric fencing

I had a donkey that jumped out of her field for fun, she was never where I left her. She never wandered off once out though.

Frances mule is of the opinion that jumping is perilously close to the 4 letter word "Work", which is something she is allergic to. So a 2 foot high fence that even the sheep blithely jump over keeps Frances in place.
