I contacted these people last year when researching breeding my own mule and they were very positive towards the idea of allowing him to stand stud to mule mommas if HE was interested.

I prefer the Catolan myself and the Andulasian which although it doesn't have quite the bone,does produce some great mules.
The worry I have about the Poitou is that it wasn't bred very well for conformation,just standing in a stall (usually on deep litter)to be bought out once in a while to produce mules)I think this is why the Donkey Sanctuary dropped them
