Hello, yep, I got it last week from amazon.com.... not hugely impressed to be honest - it's written by someone who freely confesses to have gone out to write the book after researching it rather than from first-hand experience. That's fine, but she doesn't appear to have researched it all that extensively. The history chapter is diverting enough but I found the rest very superficial, and the big advantage of a nicely-designed colour book is somewhat thrown away by the fact there appear to be just a few mules repeated throughout the book.

So it's interesting enough, but I suspect to have ended up on this forum most of us have done a helluva lot of research and reading and may not find it terribly useful but it's worth a flick through.

Anyone want to make me an offer for my copy?!

BTW I found "the mule" (facsimile of a military mule mans musings from kist-after-Civil-War American) to be far more engaging and it's only a few dollars to buy.

May even have a few Mules & More in same package, tho I'm not going to renew that this year, bah humbug again.

Sorry, yes it arrived this morning just as I was dashing out the door, so I literally unpacked it, had a flick at the photo's (tempted to give Treacle a three bars tail!!!) and shot out.

Home now and will have a good shifty and report back!! :D

Thanks.
